THE probe into the 2016 plane crash came to an end after four long years with PIA engineers being blamed for the technical faults in the ill-fated aircraft. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is equally responsible for the unfortunate tragedy in terms of poor monitoring.
A long delay in the investigation also indicates some unwanted influence on the inquiry board and speaks volumes about covering the impact of inquiries in the past.
The crash had claimed 47 lives because of negligence. There is every reason to take action against those responsible for what was surely an avoidable accident.
