Dear Members,
 اَلسَلامُ عَلَيْكُم

When the need has arisen, PALPA members have whole-heartedly embraced the opportunity to serve our great nation.

The coronavirus (COVID-19) has created tremendous disruption throughout the world and has especially hit the aviation industry hard, severely impacting passengers’ ability to travel to their homes.

In this regard, the Government of Pakistan has opened airspace for a limited number of flights to facilitate stranded passengers.

PIACL management has requested duty-time waivers on the following routes to which PALPA Executive Committee has cooperated:

a. Baghdad
b. London
c. Manchester

PALPA Executive Committee’s cooperation is based on the following conditions:

1- FDTL clearances, if required, will be obtained from PCAA, and pilots shall NOT be held responsible for any unforeseen violations of the FDTL.
2- In the case of a pilot declining to operate the said flight, no punitive action, at that time or in the future, will be taken against him/her.
3- COVID-19 SOP shall be implemented in full force.

We trust that PALPA members will extend their fullest cooperation to the PIACL management in this time of national crisis.

As always, we assure our members that their interests and safety is our number one priority.

With Best Regards,

Capt. Narejo
GENERAL SECRETARY
