This is in regard to the misinformation that is being conveyed to our senior members and those who have superannuated recently, by a certain group of people including Capt. Suhail Baluch and Capt. T. M. Rabbani, regarding the stance of the incumbent Executive Committee on the enhancement in the age of superannuation. The mis-information is also evident from the NO CONFIDENCE MOTION submitted by the above mentioned members.
It is pertinent to mention that as per the resolution of the AGM, no contract shall be given to pilots who superannuate at the age of 60 years. Therefore, the Executive Committee cannot accept or propagate any extension in employment beyond the age of 60 years on contract. However, the Executive Committee is on record about airing its concern on the subject and has made our stance clear in favour of enhancement of superannuation beyond 60 years of age.
It is clearly evident from the afore-mentioned facts that the contents of NO CONFIDENCE MOTION are misleading and not based on facts.
It is also worth mentioning that contrary to the claims of the NO CONFIDENCE MOTION submitted by the above mentioned two members:

“Our senior members have therefore been abandoned by PALPA Executive Committee and they are now compelled to run from pillar to post to earn a livelihood”.

The incumbent is the only Executive Committee in the last 12 years which has filed a Suit with the Honourable High Court of Sindh for the revival of the Pension Fund, which has been frozen since 2002. The President PALPA although an active pilot filed the law Suit himself instead of the Suit being filed by a retired member.
In the end, we would like to assure our membership that the Executive Committee is working diligently to ensure that no legitimate right of any member is infringed upon. It is also requested that members remain vigilant of the mis-information being spread to tarnish the image of our prestigious Association and to contact any Executive Committee member to authenticate the information being spread.
